The Worship Arts Technology Summit is a multi-day, multi-discipline worship arts and tech training event. The motivation for creating WATS was the frustration of trying to equip the church through one-hour class opportunities at worship conferences across the country. A one-hour class (or even two or three) just isn't enough time to convey the complex concepts that can truly impact worship in today's churches. WATS provides a minimum of 10 classes across two days that are designed to build upon each other. You won't find this level of worship and tech training at any other event anywhere.
WATS brings together instructors who are practitioners and inovators in each of these 5 disciplines to teach from their experiences leading in their own churches and ministries. WATS provides training on both the science and art of each discipline.
The main session registration fee covers the two days of classes and all materials and handouts for the classes.
The registration fees do not cover food or lodging. In some cases, when the events are at conference centers, there will be a package price for food and lodging. This package price will be payable directly to the conference center. Those not staying on-site may be charged a nominal "conference center" fee.
For the musician track, we will have some instruments available for you to try out, but we encourage you to bring the instruments you use in worship.
This goes for the folks in the media track as well. If you have a laptop computer, bring that "instrument" with you. There will be enough visuals and printed materials for you to learn from, but there's nothing like "hands-on" experience with the software we will be covering.
However, please don't bring your church's audio console :) The audio consoles will be provided for your training and "hands-on" practice time.
We encourage young people to participate in WATS events. However, those under 18 should be accompanied by a consenting adult. There are no "nursery" facilities at WATS events; so, for the safety of all, and out of courtesy to the other attendees, non-registered children should not be brought to any of the WATS sessions.
You can always transfer a registration to another individual, even up to the day of the conference. If you need to cancel a registration, your refund amount will be as follows:
cancelations at least 30 days in advance will receive a refund of 90% of the registration fee.
cancellations less than 30 days but more than 5 days in advance of the conference will receive a 50% refund, or the registration can be used for any future event in the same or following calendar year.
cancellations less than 5 days in advance will receive no refund, but can be used for a future event in the same or following calendar year.
